Twitch – Xbox Setup and Broadcasting

If you do not already have a Twitch account for Xbox, please one by going to the www.twitch.tv website. Next click on the purple “Sign Up” box located in the top right corner of the homepage.  Simply fill out all of the required information and follow the Twitch instructions until complete.

 Linking your Twitch Account to your Xbox

Once you have created your Twitch account, or if you have an existing Twitch account, log in to your Xbox and download the Twitch app from the Xbox Microsoft Store.

To access the Microsoft Store, press the Xbox logo button on your controller. Navigate down to the “shopping bag” icon and select it by clicking the “A” button on your controller. This will bring up the Microsoft Store.

Move to the “Search” icon and press “A” (note: is this a magnifying glass?).  Type in “Twitch” using the onscreen keyboard. Move over to the “Twitch” app and select it by pressing the “A” button. 

On the twitch page, you will see a box that says “get” select this box and press “A” to purchase the app. Don’t worry, the Twitch app is free to download.  Your screen will then display “You own this app.” If “Twitch” doesn’t automatically download, select “Install” to begin the download.

Once the download has completed, select “Launch” to open the “Twitch” app. Select the “Sign in” button on the top left and follow the instructions. Once you have completed signing in, your Xbox is now linked to your Twitch streaming account.
