Madden NFL 21 Xbox - How to Accept An Invite

With the Madden NFL 21 game open on your Xbox, you will receive an Xbox notification from your opponent inviting you to play a game.
To accept the invite, hold down the Xbox logo button on your controller.
Don't worry if you miss the invite notification, you can still join your Rival match. You can find the invite in the Invitations tab. To find the Invitations tab, press the glowing Xbox logo button. Next, use the left stick to scroll right until you reach the "Parties & Chats" menu. Use the left stick to navigate down to the "Invitations" menu, and press "A". On this menu, you will see your latest invites. Press "A" on the invitation, and you will be automatically taken to your game.
This will bring up the “Online / Team Select” screen. From this screen, you select your team and set your team preferences.
Once on the “Team Select” screen, choose your team, jerseys, and plays.
To select a team, move the left stick up and down. This cycles through all available teams.
Stop on your team of choice and press “A” to confirm your team selection.
This brings up a menu where you can customize play calling, playbooks, team jerseys, and more. Use the left stick on your controller to cycle through your customization options. Once you have customized your team, move back to the “Ready” line on the menu, and press “A”.
That is it, you are done!
When your opponent is finished with their team setup as well, your game will load and automatically start.
