Madden 22 PlayStation:  How To Send An Invitation To Play

To invite an opponent on Madden you will need to be on the Madden start screen. 

Use the left stick to scroll over to the “EXHIBITION” tab on the bottom of the screen and press “X”.  Scroll down to “ONLINE HEAD TO HEAD”, Press “X”. You should then be taken to the “Online hub”. 

(:22) From here, scroll down to “PLAY A FRIEND” and press “X”. On the left, you will see a tab with all of your PlayStation friends that play Madden, if your rival opponent is not there you will need to add them as a friend. Scroll down to your Rival Opponent's Gamertag and press “X”. 

(:41) Next, press the options button. This will take you to the “Create Game” screen. Here you can change your game settings. Once you have matched the game settings to the Rival settings press “X” to invite the other player. 

(:50) Once you send the invite you will be taken to the “Team Select” screen. Here you can choose your team, jerseys, and more.  

(1:05) To select a team, move the left stick up or down. This cycles through all available teams.  Stop on your team of choice and press “X” to confirm your team selection. This brings up a menu where you customize your play calling, playbooks, team jerseys, and more. Use the left stick on your controller to cycle through your customization options. Once you have finished customizing your team, move back to the “Ready” line on the menu, and press “X”. 

Once both players have pressed “X” on “READY” the game will automatically begin.
