MADDEN 22 Xbox - How To Accept An Invitation To Play A Game

With the Madden NFL 22 game open on your Xbox, you will receive an Xbox notification from your opponent inviting you to play a game. To accept the invite, hold down the Xbox logo button on your controller. This will bring up the “Online / Team Select” screen.

(:22) Don't worry if you miss the invite notification, you can still join your match. You can find the invite in the “Notifications” tab. To find the “Notifications” tab, press the glowing Xbox logo button. Next, use the left stick to scroll down until you reach the bell icon. When you press "A" on the bell icon, you will see your latest invites and notifications. Press "A" on the invitation, and you will be automatically taken to your game.

(:58) This brings up the “Online / Team Select” screen, here you select your team and set your team preferences.

Once on the “Team Select” screen, choose your team, jerseys, and plays.

To select a team, move the left stick up and down. This cycles through all available teams.

Stop on your team of choice and press “A” to confirm your team selection.

(1:22) This brings up a menu where you can customize play calling, playbooks, team jerseys, and more. Use the left stick on your controller to cycle through your customization options. Once you have customized your team, move back to the “Ready” line on the menu, and press “A”.

When your opponent is finished with their team setup as well, your game will load and automatically start.
